THIS CLASS DOES NOT EXIST
This Class Does Not Exist is an event aimed at facilitating the presentation and creation of experimental slideshows by students and for students, as a means of knowledge production. In class, we aim to question the value judgement of ideas within academia, proposing that every individual has valuable ideas to share regardless of their level of academic training.
Knowledge production can be considered as an artistic medium in of itself - what happens if we put research (as it refers to social interaction, reading, engaging with your senses, etc.) in dialogue with an artisic process of thinking? This Class Does Not Exist is predicated on the idea that not just what we the art we make, but the very way we think and interact, can be a creative process.
What is learning?
How does learning occur inside vs. outside of academia?
How might social dialogue be utilized to more robustly understand a given concept?
How might a space be facillitated in which a class structure/syllabus emerges through a process of sociality?
